Assessing organizational health indices and their relations with organizational function indices at public hospitals in Shiraz

Abstract


The purpose of this research is to evaluate organizational health indexes and its relationship with indexes of organizational operation in Shiraz state hospital in which 379 personnel have been chosen from Namazi, Shahid Faghihi, Shahid Chamran and Khalili hospitals.  In order to collect information, two kinds of questionnaires, organizational health questionnaire and organizational operation questionnaire have been used. For analyzing data, we have used Spearman correlation coefficient and multiple regressions. Results indicated that there is a positive and significant relationship between seven dimensions of organizational health and employees’ satisfaction. In addition, they showed that there is the same relationship between seven dimensions of organizational health and other components of organizational operation such as customer’s satisfaction, the organizational effectiveness and financial outcomes. Furthermore, the results showed that Shiraz state hospitals have agreeable organizational health.
