Analysis and prioritization of the factors affecting the security of citizens in urban development (Case study of the city of Saravan)

Abstract


By the formation of human society and cities, the number of crimes has been growing and the larger the scope of the societies, the larger the number of crimes and it is undeniable and essential to combat it and planning on the prevention of crime. Considering that sense of security is one essential component of life in the cities, so in this regard, the purpose of this research is analysis and prioritization of the factors affecting the security of citizens in urban development (the case study of the city of Saravan). The research method is descriptive-analytic based on library documentary studies and field investigations. AHP model has been used for analyzing the findings. The results showed that among the presented options, Failure to reduce factors of barriers of visibility with the relative importance of 445/0, lack of secure areas of activity with the relative importance of 0/230, human-scale housing complexes with the relative importance of 0/124, reducing ethnic and subcultures interference with the relative importance of 0/107 and failure to reduce the prevalence of inappropriate social behavior with the relative importance of 0/066, failure to reduce the spread of inappropriate social  behavior with the relative importance of 0/047 have allocated the highest and the lowest place respectively.
