Strategy formulation of Physical education in the cities of East of Tehran by using SWOT

Abstract


The aim of this study was to investigate strategy formulation of Physical Education in the cities of East Tehran by using SWOT method. The objective of the present study is applied research and its data collection method is descriptive-analytical study. The statistical population of the study consisted of managers of physical education of education departments in the cities of East Tehran and physical education teachers of this city and it equaled 140 subjects (N =140). According to Morgan table, 110 subjects were chosen as the statistical sample and the instrument used in this study included demographic questionnaire, the questionnaire included individual characteristics such as gender, education, age and consisted of three questions as well as a questionnaire to determine the effect of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities As well as a questionnaire to determine the effect of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats that were designed as closed questions by using the contents of the literature research history  and conducted studies in the field of Physical Education in the form of researcher made consisting of 35 questions was used. Friedman ranking test and strategic analysis were used to analyze the data. The results showed that, as internal factors evaluation matrix score equaled 2.451 and respectively score of external factors position evaluation matrix was 2.547, the position of Strategic Planning for physical education in the cities of East Tehran was conservative. So the most important strategies will be Strategic Planning of physical education in the cities of East Tehran in the wo (conservative) strategic part.
